Aston Martin entered the 2024 season with high hopes, maintaining momentum from the previous year's performance where they narrowly missed out on pole positions. Yet, reality hit hard at Imola, where a promising upgrade package failed to deliver immediate results. Alonso found himself enduring a nightmare weekend, crashing in FP3 and being eliminated in Q1. The team's boss, Mike Krack, admitted the updates made the AMR24 'more difficult to drive,' leaving the team scrambling for solutions.

Monaco's Unique Challenge
